Coach Gene Ballardo

I began my soccer coaching career as an assistant coach at DYSL in 2015. I then moved on to assist at Impact SC and now ECRFC. In addition, I helped with the pre-academy program, and numerous soccer clinics and camps in the area. This past 23/24 season I was the head coach for the 2014 Girls Blue team, and assisted the 2011 Girls Blue NPL team and the ECRFC men’s team. I have my U.S. Soccer 7v7, 9v9, and 11v11 grassroots coaching licenses. My coaching philosophy is unlocking a growth mindset and embracing mistakes while consistently aiming to be better. I will strive to create a positive environment that validates the self-worth of each player and a lifelong love for the game.
