Coaching Philosophy:

I believe that soccer is a great tool to teach our young players valuable life skills. Leadership, hard work, teamwork, sportsmanship, and more. My number one goal is to ensure that all of my players learn a passion for the game that will carry them forward on their soccer journey.

At each session, my players will have a ball at their feet as much as possible. Getting lots of touches on the ball is the most important thing to help with their development. I believe in giving players the confidence to think for themselves and make their own decisions during matches. It is the work we put in during the week that sets the players up for success. I try to give my players as little instruction as possible during the game as I feel it holds them back from becoming the best version of themselves if they are relying on a coach to tell them what to do.

2014G Blue. Almaden FC Spring Kickoff Champions

2015G Blue. Spring season division champions

Coaching Style:

I have a player centric style. I try to make sure that the players are enjoying the game at all times. I have a saying that every day we come to a session we are going to do a few things. #1 we are going to have fun. #2 we are going to work hard. #3 we are going to head home a better player and person. If we can accomplish those three things at every training session, success will follow.

Personal Statement:

I have a long history with this game that I love. I played at the University of San Francisco and was 3 time all-wcc. Went on to play for the San Francisco Seals and Raleigh Capital Express in the A-League. Chico Rooks in the NPSL. Finally hung up the cleats at 38 years young and moved on to off road racing. Came back to the game 6 yrs ago when my kids were old enough to start playing, and haven’t looked back. Soccer has been my passion since I was 5 years old.
