Coaching Philosophy:

As East County Revolution FC soccer coach, I have helped my players develop a passion for the game by providing them with the tools to play it successfully in a positive and safe environment. For instance, I have organized team-building activities and encouraged open communication among players to foster a positive team culture.

I will emphasize developing the game's technical, tactical, physical, and psychological areas, with the longer-term goals of producing well-rounded, complete soccer players and helping each player reach their potential. To this end, particularly for younger players, I will stress technical proficiency and tactical flexibility, emphasizing maintaining shape and creating space.

My coaching goal extends beyond wins and losses. I prioritize learning and skill improvement in every practice and game, always adding new skills to our repertoire. Regardless of the player's age and ability level, I am committed to fostering a positive environment that encourages growth and validates each player's self-worth.

Building the player's character is as crucial as developing their skills through values of respect, resilience, empathy, teamwork, and sportsmanship. These values will continue to benefit them long after their youth soccer days are over, making them integral to our team's success.

Achievements:

Over the last season and a half, I have been instrumental in developing our third players to compete for the first and second teams once the teams transition to 11v11. My success rate has been impressive, with 3-5 players consistently making the second teams for 11v11. I have also successfully taken first-year players in a competitive level of copper, leading them to a commendable 4th place. This progression demonstrates my ability to instill a competitive edge in players by the time tryouts come along.

Coaching Style:

I will not restrict the game with micromanagement. Instead, I will encourage players to explore various positions on the field, empowering them to be creative, learn from their mistakes, and find solutions on their own.
